The first son of HRM Alaiyeluwa OBA Dr, Oladele Kosoko, JP, the Oniworo of Iworo kingdom in Badagry and Mrs. Atinuke Christianah Adeleye- Kosoko, Prince Olu Kosoko is a true son of the soil which makes him the Aremo(Heir to the throne) of Iworo Kindgom, Badagry, Lagos.

Prince Olu Kosoko is a seasoned project manager with 15 years of business consulting experience in the Financial, Customer Service, and Public Service sectors.

He is an entrepreneur, an investor, a philanthropist, a youth advocate, and a tourism enthusiast.

Revolutionizing an old narrative Badagry had been popular for and envisioning a new picture for her global relevance, one thing that continues to remain at the core of his pursuits is a heart for his homeland.

 

Education

Prince Olu’s educational pursuits have been with the understanding of his need to chart a path for the future. He obtained a Bachelor of Art’s degree in English from the University of Lagos (UNILAG) in 2006 which helped form a foundation for his vision for his community. He also went on to commence a Master’s degree from Cardiff University in 2010 which led him to graduate with a degree in Internal Public Relations in 2011.

Prince Olu also has a Prince 2 Certification in Project Management, is a member of the UK Public Affairs Council (UKPAC) and an associate member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM).

Leadership

Prince Olu has prolific leadership qualities in the minds of many, with his varieties of leadership engagement with the public. He has been featured regularly in print and electronic media on tourism and media landscape of Nigeria especially Badagry.

Prince Olu Kosoko has always been passionate about adding value to people’s lives and investing in human development capacity especially Youth leadership and engagement.

Hence, before leaving the shores of Nigeria for further education, Prince Olu Kosoko was the chairman of an educational NGO called Vanguard Initiative Foundation in 2007 formed to support and help the educational needs of the Badagry Division in Lagos State which consists of Ojo, Badagry, Amuwo Odofin and Ajeromi Ifelodun.

The Achievements of the foundation are as follows:
• FREE 6 months tutorial for secondary students in Badagry and Ojo Local Government who wanted to write Jamb examination.
• FREE Jamb forms to successful candidates, furthermore to the tutorials and donation of Jamb forms.
• The foundation distributed FREE educational materials (exercise books, subject textbooks, writing materials etc) to primary schools in the Badagry and Ojo local governments.

These laudable programmes were greatly received and translated into positive educational results in Badagry division.

Prince Olu Kosoko enjoys youth engagement and empowerments programmes which have made him Patrons to some Youth Associations in the United Kingdom and Nigeria. He is the Chairman of Olu Kosoko Foundation, is a result-driven NGO Committed to add value and create impacts in grassroots communities in Africa through education, empowerment, entrepreneurship and environment

With the like minds of Notable and outstanding Youths In Badagry, He co-founded a grassroots NGO named “New Badagry Forum” to champion a new course of youth leadership, networking and human capacity development in Badagry, Lagos

He is a truly PAN Badagry disciple and a die-hard advocate of destination branding of Badagry and Lagos state for economical benefits.

He has been recognised with multiple awards for his landmark contribution and commitment to combat the educational challenges for the youths and empowering the youths with innovative resources to inspire a culture of excellence and human capacity development.

He believed that as an African prince, he has the cultural responsibility to inspire, motivate and educate his people for human development and prosperity.

He has always charged himself that he owes the community a give back as a Royal and has a compassionate personality. He proudly says “Charity is a calling not lifestyle”.
